Sketches from the Vast (( warning, graphic intensive ))
OOC: Talking to a few other players, I decided that it might be fun to start a thread with character drawings. They can be of your character or anyone else, but I would recommend showing the picture to them before posting it. If you would like me to host your drawing, send me an email with the picture at ShyGreenMoon@yahoo.com, and I will send you back the hosting link. Include name of the subject, and name of the artist in your post. Please limit comments in post to a few lines.

Drawings of Averas made by Farawen
He is wild, yet in touch with the flow of the earth, and breathing life of the weave, a true green.

Impressive... no more can I say!
Re: Sketchs from the Vast (( warning, graphic intensive ))
Awesome sketch of the one and only Corvus! Great job.
One thing I noticed though...can you flip it so that the scars go across Corvus's left eye? I think it's the left eye that has the scars.

Thanks. : )
And... heh heh, yeah I realized I got the wrong eye, his left, not the viewer's... but I like it this way. He reversed it for his portrait, and this drawing is just my impression of Corvus. Besides, I like feeling I have the power to alter his appearance at will.

well hmm...i wonder what a blond haired, green eyed paladin from vesper would look like......

Don't give her ideas, Rahjin!
I should have said this earlier... yes, the drawing is excellent. It's also an artist's view of Corvus, which means it's obviously not going to fit 100% with my idea of his appearance; that is one of the reasons I like the sketch, is because it makes no claim, direct or indirect, that this is the way Corvus is supposed to be perceived. It's just Shy/Farawen's view of him, and it's a darn good portrayal as well.
Erm... but yes, the scars go across the wrong eye. That's cool; I've reversed it for my custom in-game portrait, which includes Shy's sketch, for the sake of consistency, but to be quite honest, I liked the drawing better before I reversed it because it just looks a bit more organic and hand-drawn when it's untouched. (And in my portrait, it looks like it was drawn by someone left-handed.)
Keep up the good work, Shy, all four of your pieces are good. Who knows, someone else may even post here.

Amazing, Shy, absolutely amazing ^_^; You have a lot of skill. I love the subtle colours in Corvus' skin (and Averas' hair is very cool ^_^ ).
Can I ask what media you used in the colour drawings?<br>

Re: Sketchs from the Vast
Thanks for the compliments
For media, the drawings are done on paper, completely with colored pencil.
And I would be happy to do sketches for anyone else, I like the practice of drawing faces. At the moment I'm trying to draw Farawen and Trent, and possibly Zagreus, but any others just send me a PM with a description of details you would like to include, and I'll get started on it in no particular order.
