well I am not sure what happend, one of my characters has been working on a MW sheild for awhile, well the good news is that he finished it. Yeah!!! *does the happy dance*. Sooo as he went threw the different styles, his inventoy screen was open, and as the fasionable dwarf he is, went to put his armor on, has to match you know. Well the next thing you know he had some sort of armored arm thingy on, looked like it would go on a golem or something big, it gives you all the propeties of a MW tower sheild, I think, not realy sure what a MW tower sheild gives you, but it looks funky, and it dropped me out of the crafting screen and now it is no longer new, thus I can not change it back. So my first question is,
1) is this some kind of bug or did I just screw up?
2) what are the properties of a MW tower sheild?
3) if there is a DM that reads this am I stuck with the "armored arm of doom"
Thank you in advance for any insight. *nods*
plays Mordachi stongrinder. aka: "weilder of the armored arm of doom"
Bahari Rashid.... and others to new to count.
ERFF!!

Its not a bug....
You need to make the shiled at tat exact point!!! without closing that screen. Any time after that it locks the item....

Any MW armor or shield gives a -1 to AC check penalties. This means it gives a -1 to parry, move silent, hide... etc. just to name a few. So if one crafted a MW studded leather armor, that -1 check penatly would go away. In game, you can have a MW item and make it much more from an RP perspective.

Overcloaks and taking color of the armor -
Is there a way to dye leather armor and have the overcloak pick up that color? When I tried, the only thing that changed about the overcloak was the belt color. How does one make the cloak itself change color?
(Almost 2 years on the Vast and I'm still a crafting newbie)

You have to change the cloth color on the armor. The cloth armor defines the color of the cloak.

That makes sense, though I'm pretty sure I never would have figured that out.
Many thanks.
